For decades, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been widely used in many everyday applications such as social media, e-commerce websites, and voice assistants. In recent years, Artificial Intelligence has seen its relevance increase significantly and is rapidly becoming an integral part of everyday life. The public relevance of these technologies has further increased since November 2022, when OpenAI made the free version of ChatGPT available.
Observa, in collaboration with Lepida ScpA, is conducting a sample survey on a representative sample of the population of the Emilia Romagna Region between 18 and 75 years old.
The goal of the “Emilia Romagna and Artificial Intelligence” project is to monitor knowledge, attitudes, and the public image of AI. The survey conducted among Emilia Romagna residents also aims to monitor developments in aspects such as their perceptions, sources of information, and opinions about AI. It will also explore AI-related dimensions, such as the use of AI-based devices, trust, willingness to train, expectations, and emotions.
The survey will allow a comparison between regional data and the national sample.
The results will be presented publicly in October 2025, in Bologna.
