To be held 14 and 15 October at Palazzo Franchetti, the Venice headquarters of the Istituto Veneto di Scienze, Lettere ed Arti, is the third meeting of the IRIS Consortium – Interests and Recruitment in Science. IRIS involves five countries and is coordinated by the University of Oslo.
Presented and discussed during the meeting will be the main results obtained after the survey phase conducted in the first semester of 2010. Observa will report on the Italian data collected by interviews with 2667 first-year students attending science faculties.
IRIS is an international survey on the attitudes of students toward science and technology studies, with particular regard to gender differences.
Participants in the event will be the representatives of the six European partners belonging to the IRIS consortium: University of Oslo, University of Copenhagen, University of Leeds, King’s College London, University of Ljubljana – Institute for Innovation and Development, and Observa Science in Society.
