In 2012 Public Understanding of Science, the most important journal in the field, is 20 year old. The journal announces an on-line survey on the most influential papers within the public understanding of science.

The survey will be active until the end of January 2012. The results will be reported at the XII Public Communication of Science and Technology Conference (PCST) in Florence in April 2012.
Public Understanding of Science is a fully peer reviewed, quarterly international journal covering all aspects of the inter-relationships between science (including technology and medicine) and the public. Martin W. Bauer (editor) and Massimiano Bucchi (board) are also members of Observa scientific committee.
