“In one decade, the Annuario Scienza, Tecnologia e Società has succeeded in bringing citizens closer to science – to better understand how science works, exploring the many uses of modern technologies and raising awareness among citizens that their participation matters. If the Observatory for Science and Society did not already exist, it would need to be invented – for the good of Science and for the good of Society.” Helga Nowotny, President European Research Council, 2009-2013
