An international conference on the role of the University in the management of the relationship between science and society officially introduces Agorà Scienza, the new centre for the diffusion and communication of science.
The conference, to be held in September, 15 and 16, in Turin, will involve sociologists, science communication experts, scientific journalists and politicians in order both to discuss the challenge that the university has to face in promoting dialogue between scientists, researchers and citizenship and to present new initiatives for disseminating scientific culture. Among other, Massimiano Bucchi (Trento University), Etienne Magnien (responsible of the “Strategy and Scientific Culture Unit, European Commission, Dg – Research) Gemma Revuelta (Director of Scientific Culture promotion, City of Barcelona) will intervene.
A debate and a theatre show on evolution is scheduled on the night of September, 15, an event organised in cooperation with Observa.
