Two meetings were organized recently within the Inprofood Project. The meetings were attended by 30 delegates from different organizations involved in research, producer associations, public bodies and patients’ associations.
The participants came from almost all regions of Italy and have actively contributed to the definition of scenarios for the near future. Among the issues that have concerned participants are these three: research policies, lifestyles and food innovation.
About research, various proposals for studies on sustainability and the limitation of food waste have emerged. About consumers, participants expects for the future a figure of a competent “actor” and consumer particular attention to production cycles. Finally, the food innovation has been analyzed with a view to simplifying and reducing the food chain, ensuring quality and sustainability.
