The Euroscience Open Forumis a unique meeting opportunity in Europe to reflect and debate on the major themes of science and research, on their implications with ethics and with political-social issues and on scientific popularization on the media.
The next edition will take place in Torino, Italy, on 2-7 July 2010, under the slogan Passion for Science.
In addition to a core Scientific Programme, ESOF2010 will host many events dedicated to young researchers and to the general public: there will be a Career Programme, a Science to Business Programme and a Science in the City Programme.
According to a bottom-up approach, which is considered vital for the success of ESOF2010, researchers and experts from all around the world can submit their ideas for session proposals.
The aim is to collect the most international candidatures and ensure the greatest possible variety of contents and approaches.
Session proposal – round-tables, informal discussions, debates, interviews, conferences, workshops and so-on – must follow the inspiring principles of the forum and tackle the most current scientific and technological issues, picking up on trends and future developments, debating ethical and social issues, identifying the toughest challenges and studying feasible solutions.
The Call for Proposals form is on-line for submitting applications for official selection.
The deadline for the Scientific Programme has been postponed by two weeks, until 30 June 2009; while deadline for the Science to Business, the Career Programme and the Science in the City is set on september 15, 2009.
