The SUSDAP (Sustainable Development and Public Opinion) research project was promoted and implemented by Observa and the University of Aarhus (DK)

This study synthesizes the public perceptions of Climate Change through a national survey that involved a representative sample of Italians citizens.

First, the perceptions of global warming and its effects was evaluated with regard to immediate impacts and long term impacts. Second, the behaviours on energy, transport and food were evaluated considering different aspects: personal, social and ethical.

The survey contributed to increased awareness and understanding on public opinion. Most importantly, the study indicated main keypoints on media influence and sustainable behaviours.
