(<\/em>Roma, Carocci editore, 2014), written\u00a0by Marco Ciardi, professor of History of Science at University of Bologna.<\/p>\n<p>Galileo e gli altri protagonisti della rivoluzione scientifica furono pressoch\u00e9 concordi nel denunciare<strong>\u00a0i rischi presenti nella concezione di un sapere che, come quello magico, era per definizione segreto, intuitivo, occulto, profetico<\/strong>, riservato soltanto a una particolare categoria di eletti. La diversit\u00e0 fondamentale fra la scienza e le altre forme di sapere stava nel modo di concepire l\u2019accesso alla conoscenza: riservata soltanto agli\u00a0 iniziati nel caso del sapere magico, disponibile per tutti secondo gli scienziati. Insomma,\u00a0<strong>come ben sanno gli ammiratori di Harry Potter, non tutti possono frequentare la scuola di Hogwart, ma solo coloro che possiedono un particolare &#8216;dono&#8217;, la magia.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" alt=\"harrypotter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.observa.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/harrypotter1-e1434709549902.jpg\" width=\"280\" height=\"188\" \/>Gli scienziati moderni, invece, si schierarono a favore della<strong>diffusione della cultura e di un sapere pubblico, controllabile e verificabile da tutt<\/strong>i, perch\u00e9 universale e fondato sul principio dell\u2019uguaglianza delle intelligenze. Per questo motivo, fin dal tempo di Galileo, la diffusione del sapere scientifico ha avuto forti valenze politiche, contribuendo enormemente allo sviluppo delle idee di tolleranza e democrazia. Un fatto, questo, di cui non sempre si sono ben resi conto gli storici del pensiero politico, contribuendo ad aumentare l\u2019incapacit\u00e0 di riconoscere alla scienza, come si \u00e8 detto in apertura di questo libro,<strong>\u00a0un valore culturale e conoscitivo, decisivo nella formazione dei singoli cittadini e dell\u2019opinione pubblica pi\u00f9 in generale, a partire dall&#8217;insegnamento scolastico<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Molti insegnanti temono che soffermarsi sul reale sviluppo di una disciplina scientifica e, quindi, ad esempio, sugli elementi imprevisti (o apparentemente non logici) insiti nella costruzione di una teoria possa generare confusione e limitare le possibilit\u00e0 di apprendimento degli studenti.\u00a0<strong>Al contrario, la comprensione dei problemi (che non sono soltanto scientifici, ma culturali e filosofici) a cui un&#8217;opera o una teoria hanno tentato di rispondere, attraverso l&#8217;analisi e lo studio della loro genesi e del contesto storico ad esse relativo, faciliterebbe sicuramente anche l&#8217;acquisizione delle nozioni squisitamente tecniche e specifiche, peculiari dei manuali<\/strong>. Acquisizione che spesso risulta difficoltosa proprio perch\u00e9 le questioni fondamentali sono presentate in maniera asettica, mai accompagnate da una spiegazione che permetta di capire i motivi e le cause della loro origine.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An extract from the book Galileo &amp; Harry Potter.
