Nowadays, working in the field of research and discussing science in society issues means dealing with a regulatory framework which is increasingly complex and articulated. At the same time, the European regulatory, funding and decisional level has a substantial impact on actors and stakeholders in science and technology: researchers, research institutions, business, civil society.<\/p>\n

For these reasons, the\u00a0Istituto Veneto di Scienze, Lettere ed Arti<\/a>\u00a0and Observa Science in Society have published\u00a0The Governance of Science and Technology. An Introduction to the Regulatory Framework<\/em>, edited by Milena Bigatto. By reviewing current regulations, tracking recent changes and presenting relevant data and statistics, the book provides a compact and accessible overview of relevant issues for research and its governance in Europe.<\/p>\n

Milena Bigatto<\/strong> researches European and Comparative Politics at the University of Siena and the School of International Studies (University of Trento). Her research interests focus on the process of European integration, in particular the development of supranational institutions.<\/p>\n
