\nItalians confirm their worries about car pollution and show great sensibility towards environmentally friendly behaviors.<\/p>\n

Almost one Italian out of two is said to be willing to leave his\/her car at home and travel by bike or just by walking, whereas one out of three is oriented towards using public transport. Arguably, the tendency to buy low-emission vehicles is generally less widespread. However, almost two Italians out of three would opt for hybrid or electric cars if they were asked to change their own car now<\/p>\n

The Science and Technology in Society Monitor<\/strong> is an initiative promoted by Observa and supported by Foundation Compagnia di San Paolo<\/em>.<\/p>\n

It is conducted through CATI-method interviews on a sample of 1000 cases, representative of the Italian population over 15 years of age.<\/p>\n
