Guests are going to be Giulio Giorello and Alfredo Castelli, Gene Gnocchi and Telmo Pievani, Franco La Cecla and Carlo Alberto Redi, Ilaria Capua and Cino Zucchi.<\/p>\n<p>Second edition\u2019s news will be also a Science theatre show on\u201cNanomethamorphosis\u201d, by the Naple acting company Le Nuvole, the movie projection \u201cSketches of Frank Gehry&#8221;, by Sidney Pollack and the event \u201cArchitectures of flavour \u201d, a wine and dessert tasting, lead by the pastry chef Dario Loison and the wine producer Fausto Maculan.<\/p>\n<p>A brochure with more information and the programme is available <a href=\"https:\/\/www.observa.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/SeA_Pieghevole2008_def.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why organize a festival dedicated to \u201cScience and society in Architecture\u201d?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A closer relationship between science and society is today considered to be a necessary requirement for economic development and also for social well-being. Research and innovation are risking losing the possibility of making an impact and benefitting from enrichment by not having a solid relationship with the different areas of creativity and practical experience.<\/p>\n<p>From this realization the Observa Science in Society, in line with the mission of the European network \u2018City of Science\u2019, launched the idea of stabilize public discussion of the issues of research and development using the familiar ground of architecture which, in Veneto, is characteristic of local identity and traditions. The Villas in the Vicentine area and the Venetian buildings which we are well known for are not only fascinating to observe, they are evidence of the coming together of science, technology, science and culture. The &#8220;science and society meet in architecture&#8221; festival has been found, providing an answer to the challenge of setting up solid dialogue between science and society, between innovation and territory using intelligence, passion, scientists&#8217;, artists&#8217;, and philosophers&#8217; experience as a platform.<\/p>\n<p>This second edition is going to host meetings, theatre shows, cocktails, expositions, involving the public and well known names and faces from the science, art, architecture and philosophy fields in informal and unedited debates about the relationship between science and society.<\/p>\n<p>The initiative\u2019s theme will be also a starting point for a series of educational activities carried out by students and teachers of locals schools.
