\n<\/a>Which countries do export more high technology? How many are the unemployed in science and technology? Which is the country with the higher level of scientific culture? What should be the research priorities according to citizens? Which is the technology object that Europeans couldn’t do without?<\/p>\n

The Science in Society Facts and Figures second edition contains data and information to help understand the state and transformation of research and innovation in our society.<\/p>\n

The publication is divided in three parts. The first one deals with Research Policies: careers of graduates and PhDs in science subjects, research fundings, indicators of research productivity (publications, patents).
\nThe second part is dedicated to the relationship between Citizens, Science and Technology: trends in public opinion regarding research and innovation, data on the diffusion of technology in every day life.
\nFinally, the third part contains a collection of science in society Resources: a chronology of the main events of the year, the statistical sources of data, a glossary of terms, books published during the previous year, institutions and web sites relevant for the them.<\/p>\n

Observa’s aim is the same of the previous year: making Science in Society Facts and Figures a regular appointment for those interested in these themes, updating data and information as well as focusing each year on the most current issues.<\/p>\n

The printed version of the 2006 Science in Society Facts and Figures is a publication reserved to members of Observa Science in Society association.<\/p>\n
