Monitor

Science and Technology related issues are becoming increasingly relevant in contemporary societies. With the aim of providing a solid basis of knowledge to foster an informed and constructive debate among researchers, citizens and policy makers, Observa Science in Society has founded the Science in Society Monitor.

Supported by Foundation Compagnia di San Paolo and published in cooperation with Nova24 (Scientific supplement of the business newspaper “Il Sole 24 Ore”), the Science in Society Monitor is the first permanent tool for monitoring the tendencies and trends in the Italian public opinion about research and technological innovation, offering a solid cognitive base, comparable at the international level and continuously updated.

It is conducted through CATI-method interviews on a sample of 1000 cases, representative of the Italian population over 15 years of age, under the scientific supervision of Massimiano Bucchi (University of Trento), Federico Neresini and Giuseppe Pellegrini
